RIOS reached out to Stephen Kenn to help us make an outdoor reclining chair for a private client’s estate. We needed to accommodate 20 people in an outdoor-moving watching experience.

I was in charge of the original concept design, and all correspondence on the project related to design and production throughout every step of the process once the concept was handed over to Stephen Kenn Studio. SK had not previously produced outdoor furniture nor worked with any mechanisms, but our client liked the aesthetic of his furniture and we knew it was perfect for this product. It was a great example of a collaborative effort as provided much feedback but deferred to him on what worked best.

The chair has 5 points of adjustability to accommodate any position. It is made of a sunbrella upper and contains grommets for drainage as well as a waterproof lower half.
